What it's worth...

So I have been knitting. I made Steven a hat. It is green and med. green and it looks really good. I am now working on a gray one for Matt then I will make another for me and one for baby Audri.

I want to make the Jayne hat off Firefly, however I need more practice with pompoms.

I am going to be working on the bad penny sweater on knitty.com... when that is done I will make sure to get a picture online even if I have to pull some strings with my friends.

Thank you for your patients,
Elysha

a short delay

well my camera is having some problems so it might be a while until I post pictures... I get to explain what I'm working on.

I am making a shade for my Audri's car seat. basically it's a circular blanket with a hole in the center so I can grab the handle. It's turning out quite well. I hop to have my camera up again before it's finished. Yhay!

A bit more Blanket....

I am still working on my Classic Pooh blanket. I think it is turning out realy well and am quite proud of it. As you can see it is growing quickly and the colors are good for a girl or a boy baby. We are having a girl so I may stitch some light pink and orange flowers onto it when it is finished. Possibly even crochet them.

I am using a size 3 needle and "picked apart" red heart yarn. Picking apart red heart yarn is actualy easyer then it might seem. I first roll a ball of yarn and pin the end down so there is a tail. Then I "unspin" the yarn so there are 2 strands. I will have to post a tutorial on it soon.

I am also very proud of my son Tedy. He is learning so many words now. So I have been drawing pictures for him. If anyone can think of an A word that can be drawn I would like the input. As of now I only really have a few, but I would like 25 words per book. I hope Tedy likes them as much as he has liked the random ones I have drawn for him previously.

I also have to start working on my list. I have a list of things I would like to knit and compose my own patterns for. I will post my list when I have more time to do so. Now I'm going to go knit and clean.

Knit and purl

I LOVE DISHCLOTH BLANKET STITCH!!!!!

I've made a dishcloth texture changing pad for the new baby. I just love the way they look.

I used red heart Tweed for the yarn. Size 3 needl
es. It went so fast and it feels better then moss stitch. I just increased one stitch per row from 3 to 120 stitches. Then reduced the same on the way back. So easy you can do it on the bus. I was very happy with it! And the color is great for a little girl. I am trying not to have to much pink.

I also am working on a blanket on classic pooh colors. So far it's only brown and moss green, soon it will have cream in it as well. I am still not sure if I should add some light rose color but I have been thinking
about it. Like piglet's dark pink color.

I'm just so excited to be getting a girl.
I have a lot of fears with this baby. It is my fourth and last baby. My boys seem excited but there are other factors that make the situation around this baby difficult.

No need to worry myself. There are so many factors, there is no way to know what is going to happen. That is life.

Counting down the days...

Only 22 more days until my due date. I would just like it to be over and have the baby already. I am feeling really fat and cranky. I hope Andy takes well to her.

I know it's small but a better post might fallow some sleep and some other stuff...

Hello... I love you... Wont you tell me your name?

I haven't had much time to post so I'm making some. After this I must get to cleaning my house and making sure my chores are done.

I have been knitting a lot. My latest project is a Wet-Camouflage toddler hat with a dark red trim (both picked apart Red Heart yarns). I made it a simple increase hat on #2.25 needles. It is for my son Simon, I hope he likes it.

Since I posted last Teddy had his tonsils and adenoids removed. He also has ear tubes put in (not as gross or painful as it sounds). He is already noticeably more healthy and can hear much better. He pulled through it so well. I am very proud of him. I made him a snuggly for the hospital. nothing big enough to cover him just something in a texture he likes.

Calvin's birthday is Friday. He is going to be 1 year old. The older he gets the more he looks like his father. We still have to go get him a present.

Well thats the basics of my life right now, nothing to existing.

Wish you well,
Elysha

In The Begining

I wanted a Blog with spell check as well as font ability. Something that I hadn't worked with before, and something I could understand easily. I wanted it to be a place where I could put my writing, story lines, real life feelings, concerns, hopes, fears.... Yet I wanted it to be organized. Something I could post in at least weekly and also I wanted to hide it if need be.

I am hoping this will be where I can do that. I as others to bare with me as I work through learning to understand and operate this blog. This is really for me, however I always like some input and helpful criticism.

I am a 22 year old (23 in June) female. I am involved with a man who is, in my eyes, one of the strongest and good hearted men I have ever met. We have had our share of problems and we will have more. He has proven himself over my one fear and I plan to now prove myself over his. He is also stubborn and pompous so my task may be difficult, But everything worth doing is worth the challenge.

I have 3 children and one on the way. I admit that the desire to wait on having children was there but it seems fate had a different idea. My oldest 3 are all boy and all precious. Each with there own personality and ideals. Looking at my age you can see that they are all young.

I have fears. One is a fear of failing my children and my love. He provides for myself and our children, but at such a toll to himself. I would like to provide a security and an income though my skills are limited. I know however feeling lost is the biggest set back and once I can find my footing I will be able to strive.

Thank you for your time,
Elysha
